Celf o Gwmpas is looking for two new people to fill exciting roles and join our busy team at our base in Llandrindod Wells.

 

Freelance Project Co-ordinator

 

The post will be a part-time freelance position for an initial period of 6 months starting early 2016. Celf o Gwmpas wishes to engage an individual with events and workshop programming experience to deliver our Learning & Practice Powys-wide arts and mental health training project.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build and maintain partnerships and have experience of working with artists and young people aged 16 – 24 years. He or she is expected to show a commitment to equal opportunities and diversity and to the aims and objectives of Celf o Gwmpas.

 

The role will involve liaison with a range of venues, organisations and individuals in the arts, mental health and education sectors. The project will be delivered through an artist’s residency, a programme of training sessions, work shadowing, gallery and project visits, a presentation and panel discussion, and an exhibition, leading to a Wales Arts and Mental Health Festival being piloted by Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) and Making Minds in 2016.

 

The rate of pay for the work is £11.45 per hour – £80.15 per day up to maximum of 52 days, ie a total fee of £4,168.

Front of House Assistant

 

Celf o Gwmpas is seeking a confident, enthusiastic and positive individual to provide friendly Front of House services for our busy venue including visitors, hirers, artists and participants.

 

You will be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of the building, liasing with clients on events, to ensure their requirements are met including catering and logistics as well as ensuring the safety of Centre Celf visitors.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent presentation and customer facing skills and be prepared to undertake any necessary training and development. He or she is expected to show a commitment to equal opportunities and diversity and to the aims and objectives of Celf o Gwmpas.

 

You will have the ability to make decisions without close supervision working to agreed guidelines.

 

This is a permanent, part time position at 16 hours per week, 8.30am – 12.30pm Mon – Thurs. The rate of pay is £8.50 per hour.
